| My membership in NSA and GLAC has been invaluable to me because it really helped me to get motivated to write my book. - a free listing in The Speaker—Trainer Resource Book that is produced annually for meeting planners and chapter members.
- a free listing in our Finding Experts - a resource designed for the media to help them find your particular expertise.
- the Annual Summer Symposium.
- the annual Master Mind Program.
- Boot Camps such as weekend writing and publishing program.
- Charity Speakers - where you speak free for qualified charitable organizations.
- displaying products for sale at professional development programs. This is an opportunity for other members to learn more about you and your expertise.
- displaying a brochure or one-sheet at professional development programs for other members to learn about your expertise, products and services.
- Media Mania is usually held in May. A panel of print and electronic journalists discusses tips and techniques for securing media placement of stories. Chapter members are also selected through a competitive process to pitch their expertise, and be critiqued by panel members. This event has led to members landing media interviews.
- Member Showcases. This is a great way to showcase your platform skills. The 8-minute showcase gives other members the opportunity to about you and your expertise.
| When I put into action what I learn at our chapter meetings, my business gets better and better. For example, I landed my largest contract from my website because of what I learned from Don Crowther when he spoke to our chapter.
