How to Join the Greater Los Angeles Chapter

Membership in the Greater Los Angeles Chapter is open to anyone who is a member of the National Speakers Association. The GLAC membership year runs from September 1 through August 31. The annual membership investment is $150. For those joining at other times of the year, a pro rata adjustment will be made to the second-year membership fee based on the calendar quarter that you joined. There is also a $30 initiation fee the first year in addition to the $150 membership fee.

Apprentice

The chapter also has available a special category known as Apprentice. This category is open to individuals who do not qualify for membership at the national level but who are seriously interested in learning more about this association and the profession of speaking. This category is available for one year and may be renewed for a second year.

Apprentices are entitled to attend GLAC functions at member rates, and may participate in many of the other chapter activities. It is expected that Apprentices will convert to regular membership by the end of the 2nd year of Apprentice status. Apprentice status costs $195, which can be prorated upon conversion to regular membership prior to a full year of Apprentice status.
